I was able to pull it back up after all of the selections were unchecked. Try right clicking near the top center of the graphics area just under the CommandManager and you should get the Heads Up toolbar options back up. You may have to move your mouse to the left or right a bit to find the "sweet" spot.

Once you uncheck all of the boxes, how do you get them back? The toolbar is "gone".

You can edit the Heads-up View Toolbar with a right click. you could uncheck every box to hide it.

You are right. If you limit the category to "Others" the Shortcut Bar option appears. It doesn't show with "All Commands". That is a little quirky.

Eric,

Try going back to the Keyboard list under Customize and look for the Shortcut Bar command under Others->Shortcut Bar

Remember you can click on the columns to sort the commands which might help you find it quicker.

An update to the last post. Removing my other shortcut key for "S" has made the Shortcut Bar appear on the screen, but it still does not show up in the Options/Customize/Keyboard list.

Just for reference, I am running 2008 SP3.0.

I don't know if this function has been removed or what, but I cannot find the "Shortcut Bar". Even following your directions for finding it in Options/Customize/Keyboard. It is not in the list and a search for it comes up empty. When I sort the list of All Commands by "Command" the list goes from "Shell" to "Show Color by Material". It is in the Help file, but doesn't seem to be available in the software itself.

I would like ask about measuring in SWX 2008. Are there any new enhancements?
Couse measuring in actual versions is very very !! poor.

great post ricky. I definietly agree with you. take some time to try it out. I always get a little anxious about interface changes, but once i get in it, I can usually tell right away if it's gonna be worth it. In my case and the way I use solidworks, it is.
